Cannon SpA won a contract to supply metering and mixing equipment for making reefers — but the customer is not in Colorado, or Amsterdam.
“Reefers” are the large, thermally insulated containers used to transport perishable goods under controlled temperatures, according to Cannon.
The World Bank, operating as major contractor for three different Chinese reefer producers, ordered 30 high-pressure dosing machines and 64 self-cleaning mixing heads. Cannon will deliver all the equipment during 2014 to three different manufacturing locations of the containers in China.
