| Flame retarded vinyl easier to process |

Teknor Apex Co.’s Vinyl Division has a new flame retarded rigid vinyl it says permits high-speed and multi-cavity molding of fittings, valves and similar parts.
Apex RM 8201 is aimed at potable water, septic and sewer systems. It is NSF 61-listed with UL 94 flame ratings of V-0 and 5VA. The Pawtucket, R.I., company says it provides excellent tensile and impact properties in end products. For processing, it has high thermal resistance required in hot runner systems and in reprocessing of scrap.
