DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY — U.S.-based extrusion die maker Cloeren Inc. (Hall 2/G24) and Austrian die maker EMO Extrusion Molding GmbH (Hall 2/G9) are joining forces across regional lines to help each other compete.

Under the terms of the companies’ definitive agreement for technical services, EMO will provide extrusion die refurbishment and repurpose services for Cloeren dies in Europe, while Cloeren will do the same for EMO dies in the United States.

Each company will maintain its intellectual properties, but the agreement will allow each to extend its global footprint to new markets.

“Cloeren and EMO are both known for their expertise and high quality standards,” said Juergen Hauser, CEO of EMO in a news release. “Our customers will clearly benefit from this cooperation by providing seamless service throughout Europe and the Americas. The partnership will allow both companies to improve customer service with reduced response and turnaround time.”

The agreement will be seamless and transparent to the customers, said Cloeren CEO Peter Cloeren.

Cloeren does about 30 percent of its business in Europe now, but previously lacked capability for die refurbishment in the region.

Cloeren is based in Orange, Texas, with facilities in Texas and Wisconsin. EMO is part of Haidlmair GmbH and based in Micheldorf, Austria.
